This is the trip in 2024 that we are most excited about.  Aside from Venice, of course a must see and experience in Italy, the rest of this trip's itinerary includes places that most casual travelers to Italy never get to see. This will be our first time bringing a group to this wild, fascinatingly beautiful area of northern Italy. Here we will observe the multi cultures of Italian, Austrian and Germanic influences. The cuisine, the rugged Dolomite mountains, breathtaking fresh water lakes, coupled with the unique food and world class wines, make this an unbelievable and unforgettable trip!

Venice is a city that must be seen to appreciate and certainly worth multiple visits if you've been here before. There is truly "no place quite like it" in the world. After three days in Venice we will move on to the rolling landscape of Valpolicella wine region, home of the famous Amarone wines, and many others, a truly world class wine region. We will be staying in an Agriturismo, (working farm, typically of wine growers or olive orchards) in a beautiful and restored villa. While here we will tour some area wineries, learn to cook the area's delicacies, visit small hamlets and villages in the area that is home to Prosecco!

 

Next stop: Madonna di Campiglio, Pearl of the Dolomites, is ideal for a vacation stay in the mountains. The peaks and valleys, lakes and rivers provide endless walking opportunities for everyone and the cable lifts provide a convenient means of transport if walking isn't your thing.

 

Summer/fall is the ideal season to spend here as we will be surrounded by green and peaceful forests that stand opposite the Brenta Dolomites, seeped in the comfort of our luxury hotel. Finally, before the trip ends, we get to enjoy more natural beauty in the famous town of Bellagio located on Lake Como. In the hills above Bellagio we will stay at Hotel Il Perlo where we have stayed many times just to enjoy the breathtaking view from the terrace. We will dine on the property with their chef, explore Lago di Como by boat or ferry and sip spritzes while taking in the world class view.
