Northern Italy Discovery Tour Itinerary 2026
 

,Our basic itinerary includes Venice / Bologna (with Modena & Parma) / The Italian Riviera (Santa Margherita, Cinque Terre, Portofino).

Below is the full itinerary:

 

 

 

May 3–7 – Valpolicella & Venice Region

 

 

Begin your Italian adventure in the beautiful Valpolicella wine region, just outside Venice. During these four days, we’ll:

 

  • Spend a full day exploring the magical canals and landmarks of Venice

  • Enjoy wine tastings and tours at a local Valpolicella winery

  • Visit charming regional towns and villages, including the Prosecco Hills of Valdobbiadene

  • Discover the romantic city of Verona, home of the Romeo & Juliet love story

  • Experience the beauty of Lake Garda and its lakeside towns

May 7–10 – Bologna, Modena & Parma

 

 

Next, we’ll travel to Bologna, known as “The Food Capital of Italy.” While here, you’ll enjoy:

 

  • Excursions to nearby Modena and Parma, where we’ll learn about and taste:

     

    • Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

    • Authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

    • Delicious Parma Prosciutto

May 10–13 – The Italian Riviera: Santa Margherita & Cinque Terre

 

 

From Bologna, we’ll head to the Ligurian Coast, staying in the charming seaside town of Santa Margherita Ligure. Highlights include:

 

  • A day trip to the iconic Cinque Terre, visiting all five colorful villages

  • Exploring Portofino and the glamorous Italian Riviera

  • Free time to relax and enjoy the coastal beauty and Mediterranean atmosphere

 

 

May 13–15 – Milan

 

 

We’ll conclude our journey in Milan, Italy’s vibrant fashion and cultural hub. You’ll stay near the city’s historic attractions, including:

 

  • The magnificent Duomo di Milano

  • The elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

  • The historic Sforza Castle (Fortezza)

    (Optional: We can arrange a visit to see Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.”)

 

 

The tour concludes with departures from Milan Malpensa Airport on May 15.
